Your responsibilities:
The Crisis Management & Internal Investigations Team of the businesslaw firm Bär & Karrer is seeking immediate or mutually agreed-uponsupport for demanding assignments in the area of complex, cross-border investigations. These involve both publicly listed and privately held companies and often relate to inquiries from Swiss and foreign authorities – such as FINMA, the U.S. Department of Justice or the Singapore Monetary Authority. As a Review Associate, you will be responsible for analyzing and processing complex matters, preparing well-founded assessments on specific issues, and documenting your results in a structured and precise manner. You will also assist the partners and associates in responding to client and regulatory inquiries and preparing related documentation. You can expect a varied role in a dynamic, international team based in Zurich.
Your profile:
- Excellent knowledge of English, particularly in writing; additional language skills are a plus
- Law degree from a Swiss or foreign University; bar admission is a plus
- Previous experience in large-scale investigations is a plus
- Ambition to quickly get up to speed and contribute significantly to the project
- Ability to grasp issues quickly and integrate into a large and dynamic team
- Curiosity and motivation to work on an exciting mandate
- Strong interest in cross-border legal issues & a precise working style
- Workload: 80% - 100%, for 6-18 months
